Which ferry should I take for this tour?
We recommend travelling on the 9:15am Island Direct Ferry from Auckland. Island Direct is our preferred ferry partner, offering pre-booked seating, a comfortable journey and a stress-free boarding experience.
Alternatively, you can travel on the 9:00am Fullers360 walk-up ferry from Downtown Auckland.
When should I arrive at the ferry terminal?
If you’re travelling with Fullers360, we recommend arriving at the Downtown Ferry Terminal on Quay Street at least one hour before departure.
As Fullers operates a walk-up service, boarding is on a first-come, first-served basis, particularly during weekends, public holidays and the busy summer season.
Guests travelling with Island Direct can enjoy the convenience of reserved seating and a much smoother boarding process.
Are ferry tickets included in the tour price?
No.
Ferry tickets are not included in the price of this tour and must be purchased separately.
We recommend booking with Island Direct, our preferred ferry partner, for guaranteed seating and a seamless journey to Waiheke Island.
For bookings and more information, visit www.islanddirect.co.nz.
Island Direct offers a premium ferry experience with pre-booked seats, meaning there’s no need to queue or worry about finding a seat during busy periods.
It’s our preferred ferry partner because it provides a more relaxed start and finish to your Waiheke Island experience.
We always endeavour to visit the wineries and venues listed in the itinerary.
However, occasionally itineraries may vary slightly due to seasonal availability, private events or operational requirements.
If a venue is unavailable, we’ll replace it with another carefully selected vineyard or experience of an equal standard, ensuring you still enjoy an exceptional day on Waiheke Island.
Is this tour suitable for children?
This shared wine tour is designed for guests aged 18 years and over.
If you’re travelling with children or teenagers, we’d be delighted to organise one of our private Waiheke Island tours, which can be customised with family-friendly venues and non-alcoholic options to ensure everyone has a wonderful experience.
