The Journey

Your adventure begins at North Shore Airport, where you’ll board a scenic aircraft operated by Waiheke Wings.

After take-off, you’ll soar above the sparkling waters of the Hauraki Gulf, taking in spectacular views of the Auckland coastline, Rangitoto Island, and the surrounding islands that make this region so special.

As you approach Waiheke, the island’s patchwork of vineyards, beaches, and olive groves unfolds beneath you — offering a breathtaking introduction to New Zealand’s most famous wine island.

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to Ki Māha, a refined beachfront restaurant located on the golden sands of Onetangi Beach.

Here you will join our Afternoon Wine Affair, beginning with a relaxed lunch overlooking the ocean before heading out to explore Waiheke’s world-class wineries.

The Journey

Your day begins with a 10:00 AM ferry from Auckland, arriving at Waiheke’s picturesque Matiatia Wharf around 11:00 AM.

From there, your private guide will escort you to Batch Winery, located at the highest point on Waiheke Island. With sweeping views across the Hauraki Gulf and surrounding vineyards, Batch provides a spectacular introduction to the island’s wine culture.

Here you will enjoy a Wine & Food Pairing experience, perfectly showcasing the flavours of Waiheke.

Next, you’ll be transferred to Waiheke Aerodrome for a scenic flight experience with Waiheke Wings.

Shortly after take-off, breathtaking views unfold beneath you — the vineyards, beaches, and rugged coastline that define Waiheke Island.

Your flight path reveals stunning perspectives of Oneroa Village, the volcanic silhouette of Rangitoto Island, and the Auckland skyline in the distance.

As you cross the island from south to east, you’ll see oyster beds and mussel farms in the surrounding waters, as well as views of neighbouring islands including Ponui, Pakatoa, and Rotoroa.

The final descent offers unforgettable views of Onetangi Beach and its surrounding vineyards, inspiring you to continue exploring the island’s wines once you land.

After your flight, enjoy a relaxed lunch at Ki Māha, one of Waiheke’s most beautiful beachfront restaurants.

If you want to make your visit extra special, taking one of our breathtaking helicopter rides (HeliMe)vto Waiheke is an absolute must! It’s an experience that will stay with you forever.

We have two amazing packages on offer for you to choose from:

The Bespoke Boutique package includes a knowledgeable and fun tour guide, round-trip helicopter rides from Auckland CBD to Waiheke Island, and visits to three boutique vineyards while travelling in our VIP Range Rover. You will get to taste some delicious wines, and we can stop for lunch at a venue of your choice, or we can choose a gorgeous place for you. Please note that lunch is at your own cost. If you would like us to organise a sumptuous dining experience for you at one of the wineries during your tour, please let us know your preferences, and we will provide you with the additional cost.

The package is priced at: 2pax – $2150pp / 4pax – $1275 / 6pax or more – please enquire.

The Taste & Graze package includes a knowledgeable and fun tour guide, round-trip helicopter rides from Auckland CBD to Waiheke Island, and wine and food tasting at three of Waiheke Island’s most highly regarded wineries while travelling in our VIP Range Rover. An ample patter-style lunch is included in the price.
